MIT researchers report progress on Circulatronics - an injectable swarm of tiny wireless devices that ride in the bloodstream, join immune cells, and settle in inflamed regions of the brain. Earlier posts noted how brain implants often demand cutting into the skull with complex hardware. Here the team instead lets cell based couriers slip chips across the blood brain barrier and deliver precise electrical nudges in damaged tissue. Mouse studies already show deep stimulation, and careful clinical work may someday extend the same craft to Alzheimer disease, stroke, and even other organs.
