Bullet Time

Cinema changed forever when filmmakers learned to slow a single moment until the viewer could study every detail. The famous bullet time effect in the Matrix, now part of our visual vocabulary, reminds us that careful observation often reveals patterns we miss at full speed. Earlier posts noted how ancient artists searched for similar stillness in motion through sculpted drapery and poised figures. A short study of the technique shows how past and present share the same desire to freeze time long enough for reflection. BTW, proud that Berkeley grads were part of it, Go Bears!
