McFeast at the Edge
Travel clarifies in ways that analysis alone cannot. The Norway microblog series traced climate through a missing winter, strategy through Arctic borders, science through auroras measured by data, and history through museums where AI now separates evidence from myth. Culture and traditions appeared in Christmastime with bright northern lights, and the cold weather tested every endeavor. Each entry treated Norway not as an outlier but as an early signal with many lessons. The journey ended not with grandeur, but inside a McDonald’s in Tromsø, the world’s northernmost, with familiar menus and a few local creations above the Arctic Circle - like the McFeast (really good). I finish this series grateful for the rare opportunity to travel far, observe closely, and learn from a place that is becoming increasingly important to all of us.
