Slackbot
Salesforce has reintroduced Slackbot not as a helper widget but as a full AI agent embedded directly in everyday work. The redesign reflects a familiar enterprise pattern where tools that once answered simple questions now carry institutional memory and execute routine tasks. Slackbot can summarize conversations, draft messages, surface documents, and coordinate meetings using context drawn from approved systems. Salesforce frames the move as a way to reduce switching between applications and return work to a single conversational space. Earlier posts on enterprise AI noted how quickly assistants migrate from novelty to infrastructure, and Slackbot follows that path. Adoption will depend less on novelty and more on trust, governance, and restraint, virtues that have long separated durable workplace systems from passing experiments.
